RaceGorilla Competition is a complete sports timing platform. The core of the platform is the cloud based competition management software. As a race organizer, log in on the RaceGorilla website to create and manage your competitions and results.
RaceGorilla is unique in offering an entire sports timing and management system, based on consumer electronics only. It’s possible to organize a high end competition using just a couple of smartphones and a laptop.
Create a RaceGorilla Competition
After creating a competition in the on-line dashboard, it’s easy to set up categories, runs, start groups, splits and scoring formats. Some formats are pre-set for specific sports such as triathlon or canoeing. After uploading the participant list, you can start timing. Use the RaceGorilla Competition app on multiple mobile phones simultaniously to time start, splits and finish.
If you want to learn more about organizing a competition, this video shows how it works in a nutshell.
Working together as a team
When organizing a RaceGorilla Competition, you just need a couple of volunteers using their smartphone at start and finish. The software is especially suited for downhill and time trial competitions, but it will add value in other sports as well.
For example in triathlon, trail running or cycling time trials. Adding extra split times to your track, does not add costs to your competition, just an extra volunteer contributing to a great result.
The RaceGorilla Competition app is kept simple on purpose. As a race organizer you just want your team of volunteers to stick to their job to lower the risk of errors during the competition.
Use the Bluebox for more accuracy
RaceGorilla started as a manual timing app, to organize competitions with live results as easy as possible. manual timing is still most commonly used for many small races across the world. However, if you need 100% reliable times, backup and accuracy, use the Bluebox! It’s possible to connect Alge, Tag Heuer, FDS or other photocell timing to your start and finish using the Bluebox.
