Time trial or mass start formats

When organizing a race at school, there are basically two formats available: Time trial and mass start. In a time trial each competitor can be started individually, in a mass start the racers are started per category. It is possible to start multiple categories or start groups at the same time (for example the girls / female and the boys / male). The tasks of finishing can then be divided between two: one is finishing the men, one is finishing the ladies.

A simple race only contains a start and a finish. To give more insights of the race to the supporters, a number of split points can be added. In RaceGorilla the defaults race format can be used for a school event.
