RaceGorilla is a very easy to use platform for timing ski races. It is ideal for small to mid sized races, but it provides the experience of a high end race. It is possible to set up a race in just a few clicks and apart from some smartphones, no hardware is needed to get the results on line. It’s a high tech, yet cheap solution for timing ski races.
RaceGorilla is race management and timing platform. It consists of three major parts: The timing and scoring app, a race management dashboard and a results page. The app can be used as a manual timing tool or be connected to a photo beam using the BlueBox.
The app, used for timing ski races
The Iphone and Android App is made to be operated as easy as possible. If you want to organise a race for your ski school or club, you just need one smartphone at the start and one at the finish.
Download the app, create a race, enter the participants and start timing.
For a simple race it can be just a start and finish race setup, but at some races there might be splits and judge sections. One of the good things about RaceGorilla is, that no matter how difficult the race setup gets, the tasks of the volunteers stay the same.
The results screen.
On the results screen the audience can see the race results appear as they happen anywhere in the world. On the slope fans can follow the race on their mobile phone and at home friends and family can see the running time, penalties and ranking just seconds after crossing the finish line, just like in a high end race. The sponsor of the race can be added to the page, creating a perfect platform for a wide audience to receive targeted commercial messages.
The race management dashboard
As a race manager, you can adjust virtually any setting you want from the on-line race management dashboard. Set up a race with rounds, heats, timing points. Manage participants and volunteers. Change scores and print results. Everything needed to run your race can be viewed and managed from the dashboard.
